How to compress an MP4 or MOV video
Choose a file-size limit and inspect the actual result, including whether sound was retained.
- Choose a video and enter a target from 1 to 100 MB.
- Choose whether to keep sound, then start compression.
- Play the result and check its size before downloading; if the source already fits, download the original.
- Input
- A supported MP4 or MOV video.
- Output
- A compressed MP4, or the unchanged original when it already fits the limit.
Before you start
- Up to 500 MB and 30 minutes. Protected, fragmented, HDR and some codec combinations are unsupported.
- A chosen size may be too small to reach. Keeping sound also depends on the source audio format.
